C-2-5K

I can't tell you how many times I have tried... succeeded and failed at losing, gaining, melting, running, and starving weight off.
But this year I am motivated.
I just want to DO SOMETHING!
Well, my friend Lisa and I decided to start the Couch to 5K program. I don't think we are doing it to actually join a 5K. We just want to do something to lose weight, get healthy, and well, have something to do with out children I guess.
So we started Week 1, this week.
It was so much better then I ever thought! The first week just consists of us warming up with a walk for 5 minutes. Then for 20 minutes alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking. It does sound hard, but after running for only 60 seconds, and then walking for 90, it was more motivating than anything else.
I wasn't gasping for air, I wasn't burning everywhere, and I wasn't so sore the next day that I couldn't function with everyday life.
And 20 minutes when quite fast.
I was hoping for some more time away from home. But I guess we gotta start slow.
I don't know exactly how Lisa felt on her first day, but we both kept up with eachother so I guess that says something.
She said the 2nd day was much easier for her.
We may have looked kind of funny with my Pampered Chef Kitchen timer going off every 60 seconds and then every 90 seconds, but it works!
Yesterday was W1D2, and it was great. It was a little hotter outside but we made it, and it seemed to go even faster.
Today is our day of rest, we are a little more sore today,
but its not like when I did Tae Boe, which kicked my butt over and over again!
This I think we can do, and maybe we WILL run a 5K.
Next week is W2
Alternate 90 seconds of jogging with 2 minutes of walking for 20 minutes!
I will let you know how it goes,
wish me luck!
