Ahhh a Summer Holiday.
This year was a highly anticipated one.
I can just smell the charcoal burning, the breeze blowing, and a nice cold fruity alcoholic beverage in my hand... but... that doesn't always happen, and I guess I picture that every weekend in the summer. =-)
After all the busyness, time for a break. Relax and my favorite part of summer, watching the 4Th of July fireworks.
Susan was able to join us again this 4Th of July, and surprisingly Matt called Saturday night and said he was going to be able to be home on Sunday. Ya!
Family time at last. We made a HUGE picnic again, unfortunately we were unable to have our picnic outside, so we laid a blanket on the living room floor and ate our Ginormous meal.
We even watched a family movie together.
Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
Most of us passed out from full bellies and relaxed minds.
But it was still a great day!
Nice to just do nothing.
Then soon off to the Balsam Lake Fireworks. We did not go to Cumberland this year again. Its so hard to make absolute plans in our family due to Matt's Job, and well... kids. Although, my Mom said Cumberland's fireworks were the best ever! Figures!
We called our good friends Donny and Jenny, and we met them at their house to watch the fireworks. They have the best spot in town I thought.
This is Landyn frolicking in the grass before the fireworks started.
I'd say he looks pretty excited!
Me and Logyn
This is a goofy picture of me and the boys,
my camera gives off a bright red light right before the flash,
so every ones eyes always look goofy.
It kinda looks like we are having a good time.
Donny and Matt, drinkin, and talkin,
what they do best together.
And then add Susan to the mix.
oooooo, ahhhh...
So pretty...
Landyn got a little scared, just once when he heard a loud firecracker near by.
And Logyn enjoying the fireworks also, I think he was about to say WOW!
(sorry about my low cut shirt...)
It was a good 4Th of July this year. The boys had fun, and I think Susan had fun being home, it was nice to have Matt home for a day, and it was a little relaxing like I had hoped.
Hopefully we have many more happy summer nights.
