Madison Bound

Last weekend Matt, Keenan, Mom and I took a trip down to see my sister Jessica. She is getting ready to graduate from Madison Tech in Graphic Animation. She had her portfolio showing on Thursday last week.

We all hopped in the van and took the 5 hour trek down. It really is a long as drive. I am sure some people have driven a lot farther then that, but I have not been in a car for that long... well... lets just say, Matt and I were getting married... and there were no children in the picture.

Landyn and Logyn stayed with my Aunt and Uncle VanMeter, and their 2 kids Tanner and Dawson. The boys were so excited to stay with their cousins (my cousins).

It sounded like they all had fun playing together, and Dawson even brought Landyn and Logyn to school for show & Tell, which I thought was the sweetest thing ever!!! Landyn ended up recognizing some kids in Dawson's class, so he felt pretty special knowing some big kids.

The trip went pretty good. Mom was a little down because she started losing her hair on the way down. But I think she handled it pretty well. I am sure she just wanted to get down there to see Jessica. We got there right when Jess was leaving to get ready for the show, so we got to snoop around her NICE town house. Very spacious! 3 big rooms with a full basement huge dinning room. I guess its a 4 plex. But very nice. And we met her dog, a golden retriever puppy named OTTO. Super cute.

At around 6 we left to go to Jessica's show. It was so nice and very professional. She had all her best work out for professionals to see and hopefully they hire right away. She needs to get an internship to finish, and some of them pay around 20 dollars an hour with full bennies!!! You go Jess!!!! I think she did awesome! Everything was great, and she gave out her cards to lots of people, I am keeping my fingers crossed for her.

Took this picture when we were leaving the Tech Collage.

On our way home to break up the drive we stopped in Eau Claire and decided to lounge for a while.
