LoRusso Thanksgiving

The LoRusso Thanksgivings... such a fun time.
Things can get a little interesting at our house during the holidays. When you put a bunch of LoRusso's in one room, they may get a little out of control. We had 2 Thanksgivings this year. One the weekend before the actual Thanksgiving day, and one on Thanksgiving.
The weekend before we had dinner at our house with what do ya know it, The LoRusso's, we got to meet Susan's new beau. and drink some wonderful Cranberry Slush.... yum.
We all had great time ( I think ) give or take some.
But I think one person in particular had their fare share of fun. This is Logie and his train, he likes to run back and forth with. So far this has taken the place of the girly shopping cart he likes to play with in the drive way.
And Landyn showing off his moves.

Logie and Grandma Mary.

Now this is GG doing a little dance in the play tube thingy. She decided to do a dance and put this on top of her. She ran around the house with this over her for quite some time, and when she was finished she danced it right off, and for a second it looked like some sort of older exotic dance.

Poor Susan's BF, hopefully our family didn't scare him away.
The next Thanksgiving was at my Grandma Bev's house, my side of the family tries to keep this tradition going. This year my sister couldn't come up for Thanksgiving so it was Me, Matt, the boys, my brother and Izzak, my mom, my grandma and aunt Kristy and her Beau, arron, and her 2 kids, kelly and michael.

After a long day and 2 wonderful thanksgiving feasts, we were done, and ready for our naps. But the kids beat us all to it.

A perfect Thanksgiving season.

S-N-O-W

Last weekend was our first snow storm of the season, and it was a doosy. I don't remember hearing the final total because the news always talks about Minnesota, but I think it was around 8 inches. It was that heavy packy snow, perfect for snow ball fights and snow men.

This just got Landyn all excited that Christmas is coming.
Forget Thanksgiving, he is ready for Santa.

The other night I was tucking him in bed, and he started begging me to put of the Christmas tree. We made a deal that we would do it this coming Sunday (which is the Sunday before Thanksgiving) He was cool with that. It would only be about 5 days earlier then I normally put it up so we can deal.

This year for some reason Landyn is excited to play in the snow. It's funny how they change their minds CONSTANTLY!
A hint for all you parents to be out there.
Last year Landyn went outside to play in the snow 1 time!

I remember as a kid building forts, and snow angels, and snow tunnels, and sledding, and eating snow!! I guess that little kid is still in me.
Landyn and I bundled up and went outside to build a snowman. Again... MOM does all the work while I get pelted with snowballs from the eldest child.Mom building a snow fortCheese!See... Mom's can play too!
Logie LOVED the snow, he was so excited to see it outside, and enjoyed walking around and making foot prints.
He loved it so much he cried when we came inside.
Now everytime I come home from work he asks to play in the snow.

Happy Snow Day from WISCONSIN!!!

Carving Pumpkins 2010

My favorite tradition...

Carving our pumpkins.

Landyn picked a happy face and a mad face.

Of course MOM does all the work every year.
Landyn liked to watch and Logyn stayed away petrified by the scary pumpkins.

So scared.

Logyn sitting far away on the couch, not wanting anything to do with the pumpkins.

Excited Landyn.

Landyns happy face turned out well, but the scary face... I am sorry, but to me it looks Asian. Sorry for the stereotype, but I busted out laughing when I realized how it turned out.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween

The time has come again...

"Trick or Treat"

Landyn has been asking about Halloween since December 2009.

This year Logyn was dressed as Buzz Lightyear! His favorite Toy Story super hero, and Landyn was dressed as Iron Man, (even though he has never seen the Movie).

By this year Landyn is a pro at trick or treating, Logyn decided he would throw fits and sit in the stroller. Eventually he did get out and would go halfway up to the door and wait for his candy to be placed in his bag.

This year the weather was much warmer than last year.

The boys ready to go, jammies under thier costumes and off we went.

Landyn, ready to roll.

Logyn's face when he found out we were going outside.

Getting a little impatient!

Really impatient!!!!

Finally we are off.

The very first house.

Logie did not want to participate at this moment.

The pros at their best.

Grandma Mary filling in for Logie.

At the very last few stops, then Logyn decided he wanted to join in the fun.

Pumpkin Patch Disaster!

This year was the first year we decided to go to the Pumpkin Patch with both of the boys. We were all very excited. We have never been to Bergman's patch and we thought it was so nice that it was so close to home. So we planned a family day. We went out to lunch took a trip to Menard's, and off we went to the pumpkin patch.

Landyn was so excited. He has seen those bouncy houses every time we drive by Bergman's and has been bugging us for weeks to go.
Here is Landyn. Look how tall he is!
This is the closest Logyn would get to the pumpkin.
Not very cooperative.
How much cuter can he get?

"Come on Logyn lets go!"

After Logyn getting excited for the bouncy house, he refused to go in, so Logyn and I took a walk to the petting zoo, and Landyn and Daddy stayed, to have fun jumping.

Logyn and the goat.

Landyn jumping

Logyn trying to pick up every pumpkin he could, and after getting frustrated with the big ones, he decided to work on the little ones, he was delighted to be able to carry these ones.

And not far into the day, Landyn's day went down the hole. He was in the bouncy house and some kid pushed him and he rolled his ankle. The other kid was "unsupervised" as well as tons of other children, AND there were no attendants for the pumpkin patch anywhere to be seen, so I got pretty mad.
We took a walk around to the other side of the place and Landyn wanted to go into the corn house. And low and behold- Landyn gets smacked in the eye with an ear of corn.
Again, unsupervised children, and no workers to be found. By this time I was so pissed I was ready to explode.

Landyn and Daddy looking at Landyns ankle.
A heart broken little boy.

Dad trying to make it all better.

After our little fiasco, we decided to try and get our monies worth and go in the corn maze, the boys were not very excited but I insisted. And it actually turned out pretty fun for the family. We had fun in the maze, and it was the only thing we enjoyed about this pumpkin patch.

Logyn was a little scared at first.
Then we started walking.
And the boys led the way.
