Leaf pile

If you have ever drove by our house in the fall, you would see we have these 2 huge trees in our front yard. I love them, but in the fall we have a ton of leaves in our yard. It looks like a huge leaf blanket right ontop of us. Sometimes it seems hopeless to rake them all up because more just blow right into our yard.
I am trying to make more of an effort to spend quality time with the boys after work. It's hard sometimes working, and Matthew gone most of the time. But I really want the boys to remember good times with Mom and Dad.
Last night I wanted to go for a run but, I thought we just ALL need to be outside, so I grabbed a rake and told the boys, "lets rake a huge pile and you can all jump in it" they were more then thrilled. So Izzak, Landyn, and Logyn all using there tiny little hands as rakes started making a pile while I busted my butt and raked the entire front yard.
It didn't take too long, the leaves were light and dry so it was easier then I thought.

The three boys after the finished product.

The first JUMP into the pile, Izzak is in there somewhere.

Landyn is really enjoying this,

and Logyn just plopped his little tush right in the middle.

Then mom trying to get creative.

I think the boys are finally getting used to me taking pictures all the time.

They were more than willing to pose for these pictures.

And even Izzak too.

The last few jumps before bath time.

Family Picture Day

This weekend I really wanted to get some new family pictures. The last really nice picture we have had, Logyn was only about 3 months old.

So we are about due.

We went out to the Luck Lions Park and it was a gorgeous day! The fall colors were at their most magnificent, I wanted to capture it, but cameras just don't get the feeling and the brightness of it when your standing right there.

I was a little worried, because I didn't know how the boys were going to behave. Logyn didn't want to sit there with Mom and Dad and take pictures he wanted to run around. Landyn we just had to bribe him ;-)

Our first picture, this one I LOVE , but its a little dark. It looks fine on the computer but when I got prints made it still was a little dark. I will have to do some adjusting.

This one was the BEFORE picture.

It was challenging but we finally got Logyn to cooperate.

A nice picture of Matt and I.

Another Before picture.

Logyn again... not happy about this at all.

Then this one was much better.

A picture at the lake.

And this one is my favorite.

I have it printed in Sepia.

To me... it's just perfect.

Golden Boy

Today is Landyn's 5th Birthday, and its his GOLDEN birthday.

He sure feels like a special boy.

His birthday party was pirate themed, Landyn wanted GOLD for his birthday because it was his GOLDEN birthday, so we thought we could accommodate that.

Saturday we had a birthday party for him at the Milltown park. It went well, it was a little chilly, the sun was warm, but the wind was pretty cold.

This is Logyn bundled up for the party.

We all made do.

Landyn had to bundle up when we first arrived.

But by the time we left he was down to a T-Shirt and NO shoes! (that was without my permission.)

The kids had a blast playing on the slides and merry go round, they even made friends with the other kids at the park.

Landyn was thrilled with all of his presents, as you can tell by the look on his face in every picture.

Logyn didn't care at all about the presents, he just wanted Cakey. He sat at the picnic table all alone and chowed down on 3 pieces of cake.
