Clean Taintys

Last week was a busy one, planning and preparing for my Mom's Cancer Benefit. I wanted to make some special suckers to sell at the bake sale.
I asked my Aunt Kim to stop by and help me a little because I knew it would be crazy trying to deal with the boys, and make 100 chocolate suckers.
Thank goodness she came over, because Logyn was an awful child.
He hung on me- and screamed, threw fits, it was horrible.
But this as I said before, is his daily routine now that he turned 2.
He used to be the laid back baby, now he has horns growing and a pointy tail.
Finally after a couple hours of this, I decided I wasn't taking anymore and I put him in the bath tub, he was gonna get his Jammie's on and he was going to bed. I couldn't take it anymore.
Well when I was running around doing other things, he was having a ball in the bathtub. I couldn't hear him splashing and laughing away.
Well I thought maybe he was having too much fun, because the next time I checked on him I found out that he decided his best friend should take a bath with him....
Tainty.
What a MONSTER!!!

A special Treat!

One night after work, with all the extra things going on in our lives the last few months, I felt like I needed to do something extra special with the boys.
So I pulled out the smore maker I received from Mary last Christmas.
Landyn had been bugging me for months, that he wanted to make smore's like the Movie "Sandlot sweet stix", that's what he calls the movie The Sandlot.

Not realizing that I needed a little gas thingy that goes in the bottom of it I had to find the next best thing in my house....
A soy candle.
I figured it's soy, so it can't hurt our yummy marsh mellows.

Here we go!
Roasting our Marsh mellows over a pumpkin spice soy candle!

mmmm. chocolate.

Whoa! Look at those melting marsh mellows!

The first bite.

This is soo delicious.

Hey! Look at the mess that Logyn just started.

Moooomm, my hands are sticky.

First Day of School!

My little Landyn had is first day of school already!

Well it's actually his first day of Pre-Kindergarden.

Landyn has been telling everyone he is excited to ride the "short" bus.

I know when I was going to school... nobody wanted to ride the short bus, it wasn't exactly a good thing when you were seen ridding it.

Izzak was lucky enough to ride the bus with Landyn also on their very first day.
Izzak and his Daddy- (my brother) Keenan
The boys waiting patiently for the bus to arrive.
I was a little nervous, thinking Landyn might think that Mom and Dad are supposed to go with him on the bus.
Here comes the bus!
Daddy tried to help Landyn, because he tried to jump the mud puddle at the end of the driveway to get on the bus and he tripped.
Landyn told Daddy to "stop it"
he's growing up :-(
Here they are getting buckled in- afterward they bothed waved to us through the window.
There they go... on the first day of school.
And Logyn cheered... yay!
Bye bus!
Here is Landyn getting off the bus on his first day of school,
look at that face.
Maybe a little tired.

What a big boy.

Logyn is 2!

Teeeeese!

My baby Logie is 2!!

He turned 2 August 9th.

He is still my baby, and I think always will be. He is still the tiny little peanut that I fell in love with the instant he was born. I can't believe 2 years have gone by. So much has happened, yet there is so much more to come (I am sure of it).

Now that Logyn has turned 2, he has learned to TANTRUM. Its as though he knew the day of his birthday, that this was supposed to be the next stage in his life, and man is he good at it.

Every day that I come home from work, and I mean EVERYDAY! He runs to the door and greets me with this enormous smile and says "HIIII!" I give him and Landyn great big hugs, and when I try to get dinner going, or run to my room to change out of my work clothes, it starts.

Thrashing, screaming, hanging on my legs. I understand that I have been gone all day and he just wants me. I try to spend time with him right away, but it doesn't matter what I do or how long I do it, he still throws himself into a tizzy. YIKES! If this is what its going to be like the next couple of years, I am dead meat!

But ahh, what he is starting to learn. He is becoming a sponge. He is saying so many more words, and has such a wonderful sense of humor. For a 2 year old he is one funny kid. He started this new laugh, its kind of a sarcastic laugh, and he knows it. He will point to something absolutely ridiculous and make his voice really deep and manly and go AH AH AH.

Today Logyn told me he was a good boy, and he has a butt

I love the things kids say... well most of the time. Until they start to mouth off- AKA _ Landyn has started this fiasco.

Anyways...
time for pics of Logyn's birthday...

Logyn doesn't enjoy people singing. I don't know why, but he just doesn't. Maybe I am a horrible singer, because I used to sing to him as a baby all the time.
