Sledding 2010

Sunday morning Matt and I planned to take the boys sledding for the first time. We were excited and Landyn was excited to use his brand new sled. I couldn't wait to get the boys outside for some much needed fresh air.Logyn in his baby blue snow suit. He kinda reminded me of Maggie Simpson.
Ok, Logyn is not off to a great start.

Logyn did not like his sled. He screamed the whole time!

Every time I put him in it, he would roll out and take a digger in the snow because he was so petrified!

Does this look like a kid who is having fun in the snow?

We thought that we had the perfect spot to slide down. We didn't want to go to the Golf Course hill that everyone else goes to because we didn't want there to be too many people, and we were trying to avoid another trip to the emergency room. So we picked a smaller hill where there were no other kids.Landyn's first trip down the hill.
And Dad having to come down and help him back up the hill.
Are you exhausted yet?
The long trek back up the hill.
Ok, Landyn's going to try one more time on the other side of the hill. This one is much steeper so he will go a lot faster!

Ready, set...

Go!

Dad chasing Landyn down the hill.

Holy Cow! Look how far you went Landyn!

Ok Mom's turn now! Weeeeee!

Logyn was sobbing in this picture too.

Logyn, so scared he didn't even want to be on the ground. One of us had to hold him the whole time.

Can we go home now mom?

Radom Shots

Here are some random picture that I've taken the last few weeks. I know I know. I have been way behind with my Christmas pictures. But these should help bring everyone up to speed. Landyn, Logyn and Daddy hiding from Mom because she is the MONSTER!!!
HAH ! I GOT A PICTURE OF HIM SMILING!!!! HA HA HA~~

This was me trying to get a family picture.....
Well no one looks good in this picture.

So sad.

They were trying to ship me to Alaska.
You can tell how much they love their mother.

I'm not done yet!

Now that Matt is Laid off for the winter. The budget is tight. So instead of going places all the time we are pretty much confined to the house. So one of our favorite things to do is order Flyin' Pie Pizza, and watch a Netflix Movie, or play some games as a family. Its a little break, trying to think of what to make for supper, and a nice way to spend time together.
One of the nights, we had all eaten our Pizza and Landyn was pre-occupied, and not eating his share of the pizza, he wandered off to play with some toys, and we told him if he didn't eat, he wasn't getting anything else the rest of the night.
But that didn't seem to scare him.

Logyn, on the other hand watched his brother leave the table, and then he went in for the kill.
He walked up to the table and grabbed Landyn's entire slice of pizza right off his plate!
He sat down in the middle of the living room like it was his casual way of saying,
("fine I'll eat it then")!

What?
I was still hungary.

EVB Christmas Party

This year for my employee Christmas Party we wanted to do something a little different. So we reserved some bowling lanes at McKenzie Lanes in Centuria. We all had a blast. We could bring our spouses and kids and we all participated. We had some great fun, and I think we all enjoyed the kids bowling the most.
In this picture: Sylvan's daughter ( Sylvan is the Commercial Lender) to the left Karen, (my boss) in the green shirt and her husband Jim in front of her. Mel (my other Teller) and Bob her husband way in the back.
Lisa in the gray shirt with her husband BBruce, and Brett (Kristin's oldest) in the stripe shirt, she is the manager at the DT branch. Oh yeah, and Mark Kristin's husband has the beer in his hand in the back. :-)This obviously needs to be rotated. But this is Landyn letting me take his picture the one time in his life. He was stoked to be wearing the "Magic Shoes" that glow in the dark when the lights are off.The "Magic Shoes"

Landyn and Kacy (Kristin's little girl) They are only about 2 weeks apart. They had a blast together dancing to the music in the background.

By this time they were really getting into the music. They both danced their little hearts out. They were the dancin' Diva's of the evening. (Yes I thought Landyn was a dancin' Diva).Vogue!

Logyn and Madi, getting kinda close in the cubbies

They both have the most innocent look on their faces.

While everyone bowled Logyn kept himself occupied by rolling the balls on the shelves back and forth. He did pinch his finger a couple times, but apparently he didn't mind because he did it the rest of the night.

Madi thought she looked so pretty in the Magic Bowling Shoes.

Logyn sitting in the cubbie.

Daddy helping Landyn bowl.

Another picture of some of the gang. Kristin in the back with Kacy. Lisa to the left Jim to the right and Madi in the pink.

Logyn, letting everyone know that he was ready to go to sleep on the floor.

What a great night. I hope we have a chance to do this again next year!

A busy Daddy

Matt started taking Logyn to the Baby Classes at the Luck Library on Thursdays, while Landyn is at Pre-School. Its a fun little class, that little kids Logyn's age can play, make crafts, and the parents can visit with other parents.
I think its funny because the parents are supposed to do some crafts too.
(Can you picture Matt coloring and gluing paper?)
My point exactly.
Matt said there are about 6 to 8 kids there with there mom's (so Matt is the only Dad there).
He said all the little kids are so used to being home alone with their Mom's that they were too afraid to play or be away from their mothers.
Logyn on the other hand was the only kid that was ready to play with the toys and talk his gibberish to all the other kids.
I guess he is a pretty outgoing kid. Well when you look at the rest of his family.
Hmmmm I wonder where he gets it.

Logyn and his best friend "Tainty".

Wow, look at the colorful letters!

I guess he wants his blankie to play too.

Where are all the other kids?
I am glad Matt is taking Logyn to this. Its nice for him to get out of the house, even though it makes out for a busy day for him, because right after this is finished he has to pick up Landyn from pre-school!
What a busy Daddy

1 Freestar 2 Little Boys, and 3 Christmas's to go toooo

The LoRusso household, filled with Christmas decorations, cookies, and excited monsters, ready for our holiday adventure as we waited for the giant snow storm to arrive.

We were all excited for the holidays this year. I feel as if we were somewhat cheated out of Thanksgiving again, and really wanted this Christmas to be special for the boys.
I know they probably won't remember so I guess I wanted it for my memories.

Christmas eve I had to work until 1:00 or so, and we planned to leave right after I got home to take the annual journey to Minneapolis. Something we all look forward to every year.
I make Matt turn on the Christmas music, (he only allows this on the way there), the family piles into the Freestar, and we are off.
Due to the enormous amounts of snow Minnesota seemed to get, with the rain, our adventure was canceled until the Saturday after Christmas. :-(
So our Christmas eve was a nice quiet night at home with almost the whole LoRusso bunch. Susan was home for the holiday's, taking a break from her busy school schedule.
We ordered Flyin' Pie and got ready for Santa to arrive.
Santa was very organized this year! Presents were made early, ready and wrapped a week in advance so there was no rush!
Logyn went to sleep right away. Landyn... on the other hand... not so much.
We heard a few thumps and noises from the upstairs, Matt had to make a couple trips up there to remind Landyn that, "Santa does not come until you are sleep, and if your not asleep, he ain't stoppin."
Landyn in sheer panic went to bed after that.
Logyn woke up first Christmas morning, and believe it or not I had to go wake up Landyn. When I told him that Santa came it was like he was never asleep "he did!?".

The boys came down to see what santa brought!

What is it!

Both boys enjoyed opening their presents, Logyn learned how to tear paper into 1000 pieces, and Landyn's experience was much better then last years.

Santa left some great presents.

Landyn had more fun playing with Logyn's presents then his I think.

Landyn got a huge race track that attaches to the top of his bedroom door, and some Ben 10 toys. Logyn got a ball popper, and a baby guitar, the boys got lots of great movies, and the family gifts were Jenga, and a new much needed DVD player.

Santa subscribed Matt to Napster so he can have a hobby. And I got 2 new cricut cartridges. "Santa" ...also left mommy something a little Lacy in my stocking.

"Santa" said, he tried getting me a camera but they were out so he got this instead.

Huh.
Camera.... little black Lacy item... hmmmm??.

anyways...

The end result.
The rest of Christmas day was spent at home. I made a big Christmas dinner.

Turkey this year, because of the over abundance of free turkey for us this year.

We only have 2 more turkeys to eat!

The food was great. I seen this new recipe on TV you wrap the turkey in bacon! Not the healthiest turkey, but mmmmm.

We called it Porkey.
Here is the pile of the LoRusso, Nemeth presents after everyone came to the house.
Yikes!

Logyn and his new Christmas Teddy.

We opened presents soon after supper the boys had a blast, and Logyn found a large chunck of Styrofoam.
Needless to say, he learned how to pull that apart into 1 million pieces.
Nice.

Saturday we awoke for our Minneapolis Adventure. Matt had to bring Susan home in the morning because she had to work.

We bundled the monsters up and packed some warm blankets and crammed Matt, Mary, GG, Logyn, Landyn and I into the Freestar.

It was cold, and the roads were not good. Sheets of ice on all Minnesota roads.
But it was all well worth the trip.

Vicki's cute little tree in her back family room. I thought it looked pretty with the blue lights on it and the snow in the background. I think the picture turned out pretty good.

Matt's Aunt Vickie puts on a great Christmas, full of great family, memories, and fun games.

A picture with the Santa hats, and some ones foot.

We all participate in "Deal or No Deal" on the computer and we can win real money!

Not exactly the $100,000 that I got to but so much fun.

Grandma Mary was the winner this year of 1st prize, and Landyn help pick all of her cases.

Peek-a-boo!
Logyn and GG Logyn and Grandma Mary.

Landyn was the good luck charm this year and he loved it.

After presents, Logyn decided to take all of the wrapping paper out of the garbage bags and spread it all over the kitchen. What ever makes him happy I guess. Here Grandma I found your shoe.

Again it was time to pile into the Family Freestar and we were off on the trip home.

Roads.

Not good.

Sunday, the last of our Christmas hurrahs.

Wasn't looking forward to much of this one up north.
It was fine until about 4:00 and then I just got irritated, had a migraine, and wanted to go home. Landyn and Logyn had fun playing with Allen, and Matt and I sat with my Uncle Jeff and we listened to Grandpa's stories.
We seen the other side of the family so that is what counted.
By the ride home on Sunday I think we were done with visiting family and just wanted to be home and relax. It was a good Christmas this year. Fun to see the boys open gifts and get excited.
