We have to go home! Now!

Another wonderful Christmas in the books. One of my favorite time of the year, this year has deffinitly had the Christmas feeling, with a 5 year old and a 2 year old, and 2 feet of snow.

Logyn kind of understands the whole Santa ordeal, but Landyn is all for it. He has been counting down the days on our Nativity Calendar. He takes a little nativity charactor out of the pocket on each day of December, and places it in the correct spot of the nativity scene. As the days counted down Landyn has gotten more and more excited.
Finally the last day!

Our Christmas Eve was spent in Minneapolis again at Great Aunt Vicki's and Uncle Bill's. Once again they host a glorious get together. I LOVE going there. It doesn't feel like Christmas until we go. It reminds me of the movies. Cute city suburb, on a quiet city street, with houses all decorated just like "Home Alone". We get to see the great city lights on the way home, it just perfect.
Thanks Bill and Vicki for hosting such a nice Christmas for us every year!
Matt and I are glad to have such great memories for our boys.Landyn and Great Uncle Bill getting ready to play Deal or No Deal.

Tim, Susan, GG, Julie, and Russ.

Mary watching, Landyn and Mandy play Deal or No Deal. Landyn was again the helper this year and he loved it, until people wouldn't listen to his advice.

Jen 3rd prize, Mary 2nd prize, and Lisa 1st prize! Yay!

A couple of Deer caught in the headlights.

Another great Christmas in Minneapolis..... on to the next.

Christmas at home.

After a great Christmas Eve, and Landyn and Logyn getting super excited about seeing Santa's sleigh in the sky at Bill and Vicki's. (the lights from an airplane near the airport) Perfect timeing by the way. I told the boys to watch in the sky for Santa and as soon as I said that they seen white and red flashing lights in the sky started screaming "It's time to go home now, santa is on his way to our house".

We asured the kids that santa would make it on time, and he would not miss our house.

After getting home around 11 p.m. The boys were up around 5 or 6 ish.

Ish is right.

But I awoke to Landyn in my face telling me that santa left lots of presents, and then the sound of wrapping paper tearing. At that moment I rushed to the living room for fear that I would miss pictures of the boys.

Still a little sleepy I guess.

Perfect.

So excited!

Look what Landyn got!

Logyn a little mad because he couldn't get a present open right away.

Logyn really really mad.

And he's all better now.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Excited for Santa

Landyn was actually excited to see Santa this year, he said he wouldn't sit on his lap, but he would stand by him. He wouldn't tell Santa what he wanted this year, but he did tell him what Sammy our Cat wanted for Christmas, a turtle? ( i don't know where that came from).

He even smiled.

Logyn did NOT want to sit on his lap or even stand like his brother.

Landyn, would not leave Santa, he just kept talking and talking, poor Santa.
This is Logie after his Santa ordeal, he would rather watch from a far. After Santa the boys wanted to play with the toys.

THEN it was time to visit the train in the Museum, and the boys LOVED it!

Logyn is very much into Trains right now, and this was the highlight of his day.Landyn too.

I love this picture, you can see the Christmas glimmer in his eyes!

LoRusso Thanksgiving

The LoRusso Thanksgivings... such a fun time.
Things can get a little interesting at our house during the holidays. When you put a bunch of LoRusso's in one room, they may get a little out of control. We had 2 Thanksgivings this year. One the weekend before the actual Thanksgiving day, and one on Thanksgiving.
The weekend before we had dinner at our house with what do ya know it, The LoRusso's, we got to meet Susan's new beau. and drink some wonderful Cranberry Slush.... yum.
We all had great time ( I think ) give or take some.
But I think one person in particular had their fare share of fun. This is Logie and his train, he likes to run back and forth with. So far this has taken the place of the girly shopping cart he likes to play with in the drive way.
And Landyn showing off his moves.

Logie and Grandma Mary.

Now this is GG doing a little dance in the play tube thingy. She decided to do a dance and put this on top of her. She ran around the house with this over her for quite some time, and when she was finished she danced it right off, and for a second it looked like some sort of older exotic dance.

Poor Susan's BF, hopefully our family didn't scare him away.
The next Thanksgiving was at my Grandma Bev's house, my side of the family tries to keep this tradition going. This year my sister couldn't come up for Thanksgiving so it was Me, Matt, the boys, my brother and Izzak, my mom, my grandma and aunt Kristy and her Beau, arron, and her 2 kids, kelly and michael.

Izzak, Logyn and Landyn eating at the fire place, my mom and my grandma have pictures of us kids eating together when we were this age too, with my Aunt, Me and Jess.

The boys, Izzak, Logyn, Landyn and Michael.

After a long day and 2 wonderful thanksgiving feasts, we were done, and ready for our naps. But the kids beat us all to it.

All asleep, Keenan, Izzak, Landyn and Logyn with his face full of pie.
A perfect Thanksgiving season.

S-N-O-W

Last weekend was our first snow storm of the season, and it was a doosy. I don't remember hearing the final total because the news always talks about Minnesota, but I think it was around 8 inches. It was that heavy packy snow, perfect for snow ball fights and snow men.

This just got Landyn all excited that Christmas is coming.
Forget Thanksgiving, he is ready for Santa.

The other night I was tucking him in bed, and he started begging me to put of the Christmas tree. We made a deal that we would do it this coming Sunday (which is the Sunday before Thanksgiving) He was cool with that. It would only be about 5 days earlier then I normally put it up so we can deal.

This year for some reason Landyn is excited to play in the snow. It's funny how they change their minds CONSTANTLY!
A hint for all you parents to be out there.
Last year Landyn went outside to play in the snow 1 time!

I remember as a kid building forts, and snow angels, and snow tunnels, and sledding, and eating snow!! I guess that little kid is still in me.
Landyn and I bundled up and went outside to build a snowman. Again... MOM does all the work while I get pelted with snowballs from the eldest child.Mom building a snow fortCheese!See... Mom's can play too!
Logie LOVED the snow, he was so excited to see it outside, and enjoyed walking around and making foot prints.
He loved it so much he cried when we came inside.
Now everytime I come home from work he asks to play in the snow.

Happy Snow Day from WISCONSIN!!!
